Success of the pilot call of Innovation vouchers in Brno

The pilot call of the “Innovation vouchers“ in Brno was concluded on October 5 by the ceremonial ballot draw at the New City Hall of Brno. The Magistrate Secretary Pavel Loutocký and the city coordinator of departmental concepts Jakub Rybař drew 36 entrepreneurs, whose projects of cooperation with the universities in Brno will be supported by the total amount 5.7 million CZK. Total number of applications from the SMEs from the whole Czech Republic amounted almost 200. This fact is seen as a great success of the Brno researchers as well as of the project itself.

The most successful university was Technology University Brno, which has “won” 24 vouchers. Masaryk and Mendel University will have 6 projects with SMEs supported. No application for a voucher has been drawn at the Veterinary and Pharmaceutical University.
