Spin-offs´in Bratislava

 Valorization of R&D in the innovative practice is understood as systematic activities of the R&D institutions aimed at achieving economic benefits from the R&D outputs shared by the institutions and and researchers. One of the ways of doing so is that institution establishes a separate organizational entity specializing in the R&D valorization activities.  

Currently there are active the following spin-off companies spun-out by the STU Scientific and drawing from the STU R&D potencial:  

  • STUVITAL, s.r.o.
  • InnoDriveSTU, s.r.o.
  • IVMA STU, s.r.o.
  • SMME-STU, s.r.o.

1. Workshop of centrope_tt academy

The 1st. Workshop of centrope_tt  academy started at 24th and 25th of February  2011 in Bratislava. 25 participants were trained as centrope_tt manager. The lectures were emphasised on Funding & Financing, Innovation Support Systems, Technology Transfer in the 4 Centrope countries. The training aim is gaining a better understanding of different structures and systems in the 4 countries, learning about technology focused and R&D companies. The theoretical knowledge of the training is complemented by cross cultural experiences. Next lectures will be held in Brno, Györ and Vienna and a new Series will be held in autumn 2011.

Prolongation of centrope_tt voucher

The Centrope_tt community has set up a supporting instrument for 4-countries Business to Science cooperation.  It was planed that 50 projects with the total amout of 250.000 Euros will be realised. At the moment 39 applications were accepted and are in the implementing phase. The Approval Committee decided to extend the closing date for the submission of the applications. Companies from Lower Austria, Burgenland, Trnava and West Transdanubian Region can still submit their applications until the 30th of April 2011.
