The aim of South Moravian Innovation Centre (JIC) is to create a comprehensive infrastructure for support of innovative businesses and to become one of leading support-providers for the innovative businesses in Europe. JIC supports innovative entrepreneurs, students with original ideas, researchers and inventors. Due to number of projects, JIC facilitates the cooperation between innovative businesses and research and development providers. JIC is engaged in 2 technological and 1 biotechnological business incubators.

The importance of JIC's existence was appreciated by awarding the first place in national rounds of contest "European enterprise awards" in 2007 and 2008 in the category "Enterprise-support award".

JIC provides the companies in incubation with finance, office facilities, consulting, contacts, promotion and PR, technology-transfer assistance. Since 2003, it has contributed to settling more than 50 companies. 18 of them have successfully left the incubation programme.
